چکیده
Abstract Natural silk fiber derived from the Bombyx mori (B. mori) silkworm has long been used as a luxury raw material in textile industry because of its shimmering appearance and durability, surgical suture for high strength flexibility. Regenerated fibroin, main protein extracted cocoons B. silkworm, recently gained considerable attention due to outstanding properties, including facile processability, superior biocompatibility, controllable biodegradation, versatile functionalization. Tremendous effort made fabricate fibroin into various promising materials with controlled structural functional characteristics advanced utilities multitude biomedical applications, flexible optics, electronics devices, filtration systems. Herein, reverse engineered extraction methods are reviewed, recent advances techniques discussed. Fabrication formats also addressed detail; particular, progress new fabrication technologies is presented. Attractive applications fibroin-based then summarized highlighted. The challenges faced by current approaches production future directions acquired pushing these favorable further toward above mentioned elaborated.

The preparation of regenerated silk fibroin microspheres
The objective of the present study is to investigate the possibility of preparing pure protein microspheres from regenerated silk fibroin (RSF). It is found that RSF microspheres, with predictable and controllable sizes ranging from 0.2 to 1.5 mm, can be prepared via mild selfassembling of silk fibroin molecular chains. The merits of this novel method include a rather simple production apparatu...

In this study, self-assembly regenerated silk fibroin (RSF) nanofibers were prepared and observed by Atomic Force Microscope (AFM). Then RSF films containing nanospheres and nanofibers were prepared and dissolved with poly (L-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone) (PLCL) with a blending ratio of 30/70 in hexafluoro-2-propanol (HFIP). In order to determine whether different nanostructures in the solution in...

Silk from the Bombyx mori silkworm is a protein-based fiber. Bombyx mori silk fibroin (SF) is one of the most important candidates for biomedical porous material based on its superior machinability, biocompatibility, biodegradation, bioresorbability, and so on. In this paper, we have reviewed the key features of SF. Moreover we have focused on the morphous, technical processing, and biocompatib...
متن کاملFabrication of Silk Scaffold Containing Simvastatin-Loaded Silk Fibroin Nanoparticles for Regenerating Bone Defects
Background: In the present study, a tissue engineered silk fibroin (SF) scaffold containing simvastatin-loaded silk fibroin nanoparticles (SFNPs) were used to stimulate the regeneration of the defected bone. Methods: At first, the porous SF scaffold was prepared using freeze-drying. Then simvastatin-loaded SFNPs were made by dissolvation method and embedded in the SF scaffold. Afterwards, the ...
